new safety and cost saving features, which are of benefit to
patients and staff. Our monitoring system can be switched
by the users to operate in wireless or non-wireless mode (local
sound and light). Having a unique built-in ‘repeater’ function, our
wireless remote Alertor can automatically forward alarm,
nurse-in-attendance and reset indications to other remote Alertor
units. This can keep supervisory staff (e.g. Nurse station, or
mobile supervisor) informed regarding the status and progress of
the patient. This can greatly extend the operational range of the
system. An auxiliary socket can provide
inputs such as from a patient extension handset for nurse call. The
same auxiliary socket can be connected with and provide output to
an existing nurse call system. If the alarm is activated after the
patient has actually risen from bed, it may be too late for staff
to respond and perhaps prevent the risk of a dangerous fall. An
advantage of our monitor is that it can easily be adjusted to sense
when a patient is about to rise from the bed. Simply activate the alarm, or for
some monitoring system, the user can simply switch the monitor for
levels of ‘priority’ response in consideration of varying patient
condition and required level of supervisor. |
